CuradenCloud sharing
We created this guideline for you to give you an overview and some examples on how to share, collaborate and work with your partners, contractors and colleagues.
We only create and set permissions on the root folder i.E. Curaden-Mexico
You now create subfolders and set the permissions on them yourself. When doing so, please be aware of what you are sharing and what the partner can do with this data.
Keep in mind that partnerships break and what ever is shared could be lost or used against us.
There are two ways to share folders and contents:
- User who have an CuradenCloud account
- Share Link
Here is a list of options you have when sharing with a CuradenCloud user:
- Allow editing
- Allows the partner to edit the file with the build in cloud editor. i.E. Word, Excel, PPT
- Allow creating
- Allows the partner to create new documents with the cloud editor. i.E. Word, Excel, PPT
- Allow deleting
- Allows the partner to delete any shared object
- Allow resharing
- Allows the partner to share the file with someone else. RISKY
- Allow download
- Allows the partner to download the content. It also enables the user if he has the desktop client installed to download the files. RISKY
- Set expiration date
- You can set the date for how long the share will be available.
- i.E. The content is only relevant until a specific event has finished.
- Note to recipient
- Lets you send a note to one(s) you share the content. As soon the share is created, the user will receive the note.
- Unshare
- You stop sharing this content with this person or group
When sharing a link you have different options:
- Share label
- You can give the share a name
- i.E. Social media champagne to download"
- Read only
- Allows the user to view the content and download it (if not disabled)
- Allow upload and editing
- Allows the user to view the content and edit it i.E. Word document. Also, he can upload new documents. Download is permitted if not ticket later.
- File drop (upload only)
- Allows the user to "just" upload files, but don't see the contents.
- Example: You request from several users to hand in a specific form.

Risk: Since the link is public, someone knowing the link can upload harmful content.
- Hide download
- Disables the option to download the content
- Password protect
- You can add a password to enter the link.
- Always recommended since the links are public available
- Set expiration date
- You can set a date for how long the link is active
- Always recommended for public links
- Note to the recipient
- Displays a note on the side when opening the link.
- Unshare
- You stop sharing this content with a public link
- Add another link
- You can create a different link with other options
- i.E.:
- 1 share for downloading material
- 1 share file drop only
- 1 share ...
