We can compare a password with the key to our home. It can open a door or in our case a system.
It is not only about our company data or our infrastructure, but also about your personal security.
If someone knows your password, he can act in your name, and you will be responsible.

1. General information
- Each application should have its dedicated password, or at least you should have different passwords for your private life and your work account.
- Never store your password written on a post it or a piece of paper under your keyboard.
- Never share your password with a colleague, you are responsible for what happen in your accounts-name.
- Change your password regularly. In our case, it will mandatory force to change every 180 days.
- The password needs to be at least 8 digits (lower letters, capital letters, numbers and special characters)
2. Create a memorable but secure password
Since we recommend that each account should have its dedicated password, and every 180 days you will be forced to change your password,
the question, “how can I create a good but secure password that i can remember?” has to be addressed.
2.1 Use letters and numbers
Many letters are easily replaced with numbers or special characters:

2.2 Convert a phrase or a quote
You can create a password with the first letter of each word using a famous quote or a phrase:

2.3 Extend a word with a service
A word special to you can be extended with the service that it is used for, in this case Tom:
- Password for ERP ⇾T()m@3RP
- Password for Outlook ⇾T()m@0utl00k
- Password for Curaden ⇾ T()m@Cur@den
3. How to manually change your password:
3.1 Via Windows
- To change your password, press [Ctrl] + [alt] + [Del] and choose “Change password”
Username needs to be: MYDENTALWORLD\Username
3.2 Via WebMail
- Log on to your webmail account: https://mail.mydentalworld.ch
- Click on the Top right on the Settings Icon then click options

- In the left panel, go to General ⇾ My account ⇾ scroll down and click on “Change your password”
- Enter the old Password then twice the new password, when you are done, click save in the top left.
4. How to change your password if you are forced to:
4.1 Via Windows
After you logged into Windows, you would receive a message saying that your password had expired.
4.2 Via Citrix Logon (Receiver)
When you are using the Citrix Receiver, a window will appear:

After you tried to log on, a window will appear:
4.4 Via Webmail
After logging in to https://mail.mydentalworld.ch, this window will appear:
You must add mydentalworld\ in front of your username
